Silt Curtains
Our silt curtains are fabricated using a combination of seamless welding with additional re-enforcement secured by lock stitching where we utilise a rot proof, high strength thread.
Buoyancy is provided by a closed cell polyethylene foam, which will not de-grade or break down.
Ballasting of the silt curtain is achieved by a galvanised chain in the bottom pocket of the silt curtain.
The material drop of the silt curtain reduces the turbidity of the water and allows suspended silts to settle.
Multiple silt curtains can be connected together using the re-enforced eyelets located at either end of the units.
Silt Curtains of different depths can be connected due to the universal connection method.
Fixing of silt curtains is simple using the anchoring rings, located every 5m under the floatation foams.
Sizes from 0.5m to 9.0 metres deep, 5m to 25m long.
