The Sea Phoenix 600 boom is a medium sized air buoyancy boom. 760mm lay-flat height, inflates to 600mm overall height with 600mm end connectors. The most popular size for marine spills as demonstrated by the 2010 Gulf of Mexico spill.

Used on inland waterways when maximum durability and protection are require, or in semi-protected marine applications. The excellent wave conforming properties of this boom and the absence of any rigid components in the boom itself make it ideal for all tidal locations. Made from very strong polyurethane, it will endure abrasion and aggressive environments.

EQUIPMENT

The segmented boom is manufactured from fabricated, high frequency welded 1000 g/m² PU alloy double coated nylon fabric giving durable and excellent wear abrasion resistance for long life during arduous use. The ballast is provided by a galvanised steel chain incorporated in a reinforced keel pocket. This allows superior stability and wave following characteristics that impede ‘kiting’ and ‘bridging’. The enclosed galvanised chain also provides additional boom tension and strength. Splash flaps prevent ‘splash over’ of oil. The air chamber provides generous freeboard, as well as allowing compact storage when deflated. Gas tight Monsun valves enable inflation, and maintain pressure over many months of use. Each boom section length uses reinforced connectors to allow connection to other booms, tow bridle, or mooring anchor systems.

Sea Phoenix

The Ocean Phoenix Boom is a substantial air buoyancy boom for use offshore and in exposed, open seas. The ballast is provided by a tension wire or galvanised steel chain incorporated in a reinforced keel pocket. This allows superior stability and wave following characteristics that impede ‘kiting’ and ‘bridging’.

The enclosed galvanised chain also provides additional boom tension and strength. Splash flaps prevent ‘splash over’ of oil. The air chamber provides generous freeboard, as well as allowing compact stowage when deflated. Gas tight Monsun valves enable inflation, and maintain pressure over many months of use.

EQUIPMENT

The segmented boom is manufactured from fabricated, high frequency welded 1080 gsm PU double coated fabric giving durable and excellent wear abrasion resistance for long life during arduous use. Each boom section length uses reinforced connectors to allow connection to other booms, tow bridle, or mooring anchor systems.

Ocean Phoenix

Ideal for emergency response use in canals, streams, rivers and lagoons. The light weight of the Lake Phoenix containment boom allows for easy transportation, deployment and recovery. The boom length is simply extended with an innovative boom to boom connecting system that requires no tools. This lightweight, highly portable boom is the obvious choice for holding on site at all times along with Oilsorb-Ultra absorbents. The first-aid for oil spills, they could well prevent an accident becoming a disaster. Extremely popular with the Water Authorities and Environment Agencies, the Lake Phoenix 250 protects inland and industrial waterways reliably and cost effectively.

EQUIPMENT

Segmented boom manufactured from high frequency welded 750 g/m2 PVC coated nylon fabric giving durable and excellent high wear and abrasion resistance. Air buoyancy by foot-pump inflated air chambers, giving good conformance to water and compact stowage size. Ballast, boom tension and strength is provided by an enclosed galvanised chain, which also provides correct underwater profile.
